A poet’s life
is a solitary meandering
shared by millions
who don’t navigate
in the same waters…
(physically)
A poet’s life
is a trace on the waters
foamy, elegant, living
made by a single passing
creating a path which
can be followed if seen…
(for but a second)
eyes of the seer fixed
on the apparition
loyally gazing in its direction…

A poet’s life
is a witness —
close enough to see
and follow…
